SOAA and Lost Rhino Brewing Company Unite for a Worthy Cause

In the heart of Loudoun County, Virginia, a powerful partnership is brewing—literally. The Special Operations Association of America (SOAA) is teaming up with Lost Rhino Brewing Company, a local establishment co-founded by retired Navy Captain Dave McMunn, for a mission beyond great craft beer. Together, they aim to support veterans and advocate for those who have long been overlooked.

Brewing for a Purpose

Lost Rhino Brewing Company has earned a reputation not only for its exceptional brews but also for its unwavering commitment to veterans and the local Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. Captain McMunn’s passion for supporting his fellow service members has made Lost Rhino a hub for fostering camaraderie and giving back.

On March 1, 2025, Lost Rhino and SOAA will host a special fundraising event to shine a spotlight on the Jax Act. This vital legislation seeks to correct decades of injustice faced by Cultural Support Team (CST) Veterans. These courageous women served alongside SOF units in combat, undertaking roles that were as dangerous as they were groundbreaking. Yet, many of these warriors have been denied proper recognition and care for their service.

Raising a Glass to Change

The event will feature a range of activities designed to honor CST Veterans and rally support for the Jax Act. Highlights include:

10% of All Food and Beverages Sales Donated: From craft beer to delicious food, every purchase on March 1 will contribute to this important cause.

Special CST Beer on Tap: Lost Rhino will debut a unique brew dedicated to these remarkable women warriors, with proceeds going directly to support their needs.

Live Music: Live band from 2 – 7 pm EST

Meet and Greet with CSTs:  Meet Jax and several of her fellow CSTs and hear more about their service and stories.

VIP Guests:

Why the Jax Act Matters

The Jax Act represents a critical step in righting the wrongs experienced by CST Veterans. These women broke barriers and faced the same dangers as their male counterparts, yet they’ve encountered systemic challenges in receiving recognition, benefits, and healthcare. Passing the Jax Act in 2025 would be a monumental victory for justice and equality within the military community.

Join Us in Making a Difference

SOAA and Lost Rhino Brewing Company invite everyone to come together for this meaningful event. By raising a glass, you’ll be raising awareness and funds for the brave women who served on Cultural Support Teams. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast, a veteran advocate, or simply someone who believes in justice, this event is your chance to make an impact.
